Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, containers must meet the following conditions:

  • Original Condition: Container must be in the same condition as delivered
  • No Modifications: No structural changes, drilling, or welding
  • Cleanliness: Container must be clean and free of debris
  • Accessibility: Container must be accessible for pickup
  • Documentation: Original invoice and delivery receipt required
Important: All containers are sold as-is based on their described condition. Minor wear, rust, or cosmetic imperfections consistent with used containers are not grounds for return unless significantly different from the product description.

Return Process

Step 1: Contact our customer service team at sales@metrocontainerptyltd.com or call (08) 0002-4366 within the return window.

Step 2: Provide your order number, reason for return, and photos of the container if applicable.

Step 3: Receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.

Step 4: Schedule pickup with our approved logistics partners or arrange your own transportation.

Step 5: Once the container is received and inspected, your refund will be processed.

Shipping & Handling

  • Return Shipping: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Pickup Service: We can arrange pickup for an additional fee
  • Original Shipping: Original shipping costs are non-refundable except for defective items
  • Insurance: Customer responsible for insuring container during return transit

  • Additional costs may apply for remote locations
  • Pickup service available across Australia

Refund Process

  • Processing Time: 5-10 business days after container receipt and inspection
  • Refund Method: Original payment method (credit card, EFT, etc.)
  • Inspection fee may apply for returns after 7 days
  • Restocking Fee: 10% restocking fee may apply for returns after 14 days
  • Partial Refunds: May apply if container shows signs of use or damage

Exchanges

We offer exchanges for containers of equal or greater value. The customer is responsible for the price difference and any additional shipping costs. Exchange requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your container arrives damaged or significantly different from the description:

  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos and detailed description of the problem
  • We will arrange pickup at no cost to you
  • Full refund including original shipping costs
  • Expedited refund processing (2-3 business days)

International Returns

Returns for international orders are subject to additional considerations:

  • Customer responsible for all customs fees and duties
  • Extended return window of 45 days due to shipping logistics
  • Return shipping costs significantly higher
  • Currency exchange rates may affect refund amounts
